Exposición individual en La Galería, Punta Arenas, Chile

La exposición realizada en La Galería, Punta Arenas, surge de la investigación de la artista en torno a la literatura y el texto en las artes visuales, en particular abordando la problemática del ajuste de sentido en la traducción entre idiomas. Esta retoma lo realizado el año 2013 en el “Simposio Internacional de Arte in-Situ Arte-Naturaleza” en Quebec, Canadá, e incorpora las experiencias recientes de su participación en los proyectos «Diálogos», que han tratado el tema de la interculturalidad y reconocimiento de los pueblos originarios en Chile.
El texto aquí trabajado corresponde a un fragmento del libro «Penser / Classer», del escritor francés Georges Perec. Su temática responde más bien a preocupaciones occidentales respecto de nuestra necesidad de orden, sin embargo me ha parecido un gran desafío buscar al menos alguna remota correspondencia en las cosmovisiones, culturas y lenguas de los pueblos originarios; en este caso, en el yagán.

This exhibition, held at La Galería, Punta Arenas, arises from the artist’s research around literature and text in the visual arts, particularly addressing the problem of adjusting meaning in translation between languages. This takes up what was done in 2013 at the International Symposium on In-Situ Art-Nature Art in Quebec, Canada, and incorporates the recent experiences of its participation in the «Diálogos» projects, which have dealt with the issue of interculturality and recognition of the native peoples in Chile.
The text worked here corresponds to a fragment of the book “Penser / Classer”, by French writer Georges Perec. Its theme responds to rather Western concerns regarding our need for order; however, it seemed to me it was a great challenge to seek at least some remote correspondence in the worldviews, cultures and languages of the native chilean peoples; in this case, in the yagan.
