Residencia y exposición individual
Con una vocación de relacionamiento comunitario, a través de distintos talleres con las vecinas y vecinos del barrio San Cristóbal de Recoleta, la residencia tuvo por objeto poner en el centro la observación asombrada y minuciosa, y el cuestionamiento de aquello que se da por sentado, tomando como referencia “lo infraordinario”, término acuñado por el escritor francés Georges Perec para referirse, interrogar y nombrar todos aquellos asuntos cotidianos e insignificantes.
Recorrer el barrio en un caminar lento y notar cómo la naturaleza se manifiesta en mínimos detalles, en lo diminuto de un insecto o pequeña planta que crece atrapada en el cemento… Así, cada malva, mostaza silvestre o vinagrillo que crece ‘sin permiso’, es una invitación a detenernos para buscar lo humano en lo pequeño que pasamos por alto, en lo simple y modesto que habitamos, en lo íntimo, en esa voz que resuena dentro nuestro y que, en el apuro, solemos silenciar.

Residency and solo exhibition
With a vocation for community relations, through different workshops with the neighbours of the San Cristóbal neighbourhood in Recoleta, the residency aimed to focus on the astonished and meticulous observation and the questioning of what is taken for granted, taking as a reference ‘the infra-ordinary’, a term coined by the French writer Georges Perec to refer to, question and name all those everyday and insignificant matters.
Walking slowly through the neighbourhood and noticing how nature manifests itself in the smallest details, in the tiny insect or small plant that grows trapped in the cement… Thus, each hollyhock, upright rocket or sourgrass that grows ‘without permission’, is an invitation to stop and look for the human in the small things we overlook, in the simple and modest things we inhabit, in the intimate, in that voice that resounds within us and that, in the rush, we tend to silence.
