“de lo que iba a ser, pero no fue; lo que no imaginé, pero sí sucedió, y el intento de ajuste entre todo eso” se titula esta nueva exposición, que ha sido pensada como un encuentro de frustraciones, expectativas y relaciones inesperadas. Reúne materiales antiguos y nuevos, también observaciones y procesos que se han gestado en un contexto absolutamente excepcional, anómalo, el de un encierro prolongado, que nos obliga a pensar la misma palabra ‘exposición’: ¿exponer qué, exponerse a qué?”

Esta muestra individual está compuesta de una serie de trabajos recientes en los que, desde la situación de encierro y distancia social derivadas de la pandemia, he incorporado el paisaje y el texto como problema central en la imagen, tanto desde sus aspectos formales como desde su temática; obras en las que continúo con el uso de la literatura como elemento que, junto con la investigación en torno a la fotografía y la utilización de medios manuales vinculados al trabajo textil, se ha mantenido constante en mi producción artística.

“of what was going to be, but wasn’t; what I didn’t imagine but did happen, and the attempt to adjust between all of that” is the title of this new exhibition, which has been conceived as an encounter of frustrations, expectations and unexpected relationships. It brings together old and new materials, also observations and processes that have been created in an absolutely exceptional, anomalous context, that of a prolonged confinement, which forces us to think about the very word ‘exhibition’: expose what, expose oneself to what?”

This solo show is composed of a series of recent works in which, from the situation of confinement and social distance derived from the pandemic, I have incorporated the landscape and the text as a central problem in the image, both from its formal aspects and its theme; works in which I continue with the use of literature as an element that, together with research on photography and the use of manual means linked to textile work, has remained constant in my artistic production.
