Hand embroidery on burel fabrik

139 x 99 cm  (54,6” x 39”) each

The months we spent in quarantine were undoubtedly an experience of confinement, and presented a different way of feeling and living the passage of time. Under the sensation that everything was repeated tirelessly, the days all seemed the same to me, and time an uncertain succession of daily events.

Thus, from my interest in recording this time and those actions that are repeated over and over again —as I once did by photographically recording my children sleeping, eating or brushing their teeth— the work 10 o’clock emerged: the hand embroidery of a story written thinking about those we overlook, those most locked up in confinement.
