In Algunas observaciones de mediodía (Some observations at noon) my main interest was focused on continuing my exploration around the production of a mural work in a single layer of wool felt cut-out by hand. Unlike my previous experience with Box in a valise (comprised of modules), this time my goal was focused on constructing the mural in one piece: specifically, a 1.84 x 15 m (6ft x 48ft) roll of felt. Nevertheless, this challenge did not try of being a feat only on a technical level due to its large scale; on the contrary, the construction of the image also had to obey the conditions of presence/absence of the material and, ultimately, to refer specifically to high contrast photography. In this way, I took a series of photographs in a small inner garden, almost in 360o, and at ground level, so that the final image of the mural is a panoramic of plants and shrubs that, by its scale and the curvature of the wall where it was installed, suggest a much more profuse vegetation than the real one.
