Another World, curated by Tracey Emin Studio

Sale of original artworks in postcard format by female artists, including Chilean Mónica Bengoa, that celebrates the centenary of women’s suffrage in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Another World is an exhibition that spans both Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounges in Frieze Masters and Frieze London, featuring 34 artists working from the late 19th century to the present day of about 40 countries all over the world, among which there is chilean artist Mónica Bengoa. Participant artists were invited by Tracey Emin Studio to participate in this project commemorating 100 years of women’s suffrage in the UK and Germany, taking inspiration from postcards used as part of the early 1900 women’s suffrage campaign –some of which will be displayed at the show– and the annual sale of postcards in support of the Royal College of Art, where Emin studied.

Curated by Tracey Emin Studio, Another World is the exhibition that will be presented in the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management hall in the context of the Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2018 international contemporary art fair, which will take place between 4 and 7 October at Regent’s Park in Londes.

All the works / postcards were donated by each artist to participate in a sale for the benefit of 5 organizations in London and Kent chosen for their work of support and sustenance to women and girls in vulnerable situations, and who will receive 100% of the sales carried out through the Tracey Emin & Deutsche Bank Centenary Fund. These are:

  • Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid
  • Havering Women’s Aid Ltd
  • Oasis Domestic Abuse Service, Margate
  • StreetTalk, Lambeth
  • The Maya Centre, Islington

The sale will be carried out in three stages corresponding to three different dates, in which the postcards available for purchase will be revealed, beginning on October 5. The identity of the artist author of each postcard will be revealed only once they are sold. The price of each work is £ 200 pounds plus £ 10 postage.
