Things that are not books and that are often found in the libraries
Solo show at Nube Gallery, Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
27 June - 22 August 2019
context
Things that are not books and that are often found in the libraries is the title for the solo show inaugurated on June 27th at Nube Gallery, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, where I was invited by its director and founder of project Kiosko, Raquel Schwartz.
This exhibition is composed of a group of works based on literature, an element that, along with the research around the photographic media and the use of manual means linked to textile work (using felt, embroidery and knitting) to materialize images, has remained constant over my more than 25 years of artistic production.
Things that are not books and that are often found in the libraries presents a series of recent works where I have incorporated text as a central problem in the image, both from its formal aspects and its subject matter, and also some of my explorations around the artist’s book.
